So at the beginning of the year I was around 187 pounds and had been for a few years but I decided to do something about it. Yoga was great and I was hitting the gym at least twice a week but to be honest things were pretty much at a standstill.
So my neighbor, Julie started doing crossfit and convinced me to try a month with her. I gotta tell you it’s not easy and still kicks my butt. For the last month I’ve been at it and now I’m down to around 172 pounds. Granted not all the weight was lost from Crossfit but I’m finally feeling in shape. Probably in better shape than I was in my early 20’s and definitely better shape than the rest of my 30’s.
So, thanks Julie for stepping it up a notch and and twisting my arm to go to Crossfit. My twin sister has been in it for over a year now and from her Facebook posts, she’s now doing fitness competitions. Geez, congrats sis! I’ve got some catching up to do.
Other than that, the puppies and work not much worth mentioning going on. I am looking forward, however, to an active hurricane season so the “getting back in shape” part will definitely help when it comes to surfing this fall.
